Which is the Best Coaching Institute of India for IIT JEE Preparation ??

There is no definite answer to this. Because the question is very subjective: What is meant by best? The institute that has the best faculty? The best study material? The institute producing best ranks in JEE? The institute producing great minds that go on to do good stuff in college? Or something else?

And more importantly, it doesn't matter. I would say that most of the institutes are good! Some similarities and differences between coaching institutes:

1) Almost all institutes have 2 sets of faculty: The great ones, and the not-so-great ones. The great ones are assigned to batches with better students, in general. So if you are among the top students in your institute, then it doesn't matter which institute you are in. You will almost surely get good faculty.

2) Almost all institutes have students of mixed level: Some are bright, while some are not-so-bright. Some sincere, some not-so-sincere. You need to be able to differentiate the two kinds, and try to learn from the bright and sincere ones.

3) The study material / tests of almost all institutes are mostly alike: The syllabus of JEE is more or less constant. Over years, the study material of the institutes has evolved, and most institutes now have similar material.

A difference here is that some institutes expect you to do a lot of questions, and accordingly design their study material to contain a large number of problems. Some other institutes think the other way, believing that once you learn the concept, few questions are sufficient to reinforce it.

4) Frequency of classes: Most institutes have 3-4 classes per week of 4 hours each, or 2 classes of 6 hours each. Some institutes, on the other hand, focus more on self study, having only 1-2 classes of 4 hours per week. Some other institutes collaborate with schools, so that the students are taught only Physics, Chemistry and Maths throughout the year, except the last few months before the final exams, and the students tend to feel little pressure of school.


So, while most of the features are common across all coaching institutes, some are different, and it depends from student to student which of these he finds most suited to him.
