IIT-Kanpur awards 7 ex-students

On Friday evening, IIT-Kanpur conferred distinguished alumnus award upon on seven ex-students. The award was received by four ex-students (out of seven) present during the function.

Kamal K Sharma of 1969 batch, Amit Gupta of 2000 batch, Abhay Singhal and Naveen Tiwari of 2001 batch were present to receive the award while Bhadresh K Shah of 1975 batch, Sumant Singh of 1978 batch and Keshav K Pingali of 1979 batch were not present.

On this very occasion, the Satyendra K Dubey Memorial Award was given to ex-student of IIT-Delhi who is presently working as professor of Quantiative Methods and Information Systems in IIM-Bangalore, Trilochan Sastry. The Satyendra K Dubey Memorial Award was instituted by IIT-Kanpur in the memory of Satyendra K Dubey, a passout of IIT-Kanpur in 1994 and his exemplery life and supreme sacrifice.

The awards were given away by Director, IIT-Kanpur, Prof Indranil Manna in the outreach auditorium.
