Google acquires Flutter: Start-up run up Indian engineers for Rs. 248 crore

A gesture-based tech app has caught the fancy of Google so much that the IT behemoth has acquired the start-up for a reported sum of $40 million which roughly coverts to Rs 248 crore.
Navneet Dalal, an engineering graduate from Delhi University and Mehul Nariyawala, who was schooled in Gujarat before moving to the US, are the co-founders of the company and they head a team of six which includes two Computer Science graduates from the India's top engineering school IIT-Delhiand another engineering graduate from Netaji Subash Intitute of Technology, New Delhi.
Navneet and Mehul met and became friends at Like.com – another start-up which Google acquired - and they say on their website that the idea for the app was born while they were lazing around watching Netflix.
Both, Navneet and Mehul then left their jobs at Like.com to work on their project independently.
They then developed the web-cam based application which enables you to control your music player, YouTube, and other apps using hand gestures without even minimizing the window or tab you are already working on. It is currently available for Mac and Windows.
All six members of the team will now continue working and researching at Google.
