Kota coaching industry retains winning edge in joint entrance
The Kota coaching industry has retained its might and strength in the Joint EntranceExam (Mains) held this year. The data compiled by different coaching institutes suggest that Kota city has a lion's share in the number of successful candidates. The result was announced on May7.
Rough estimate says that 25,000 students from Kota are among the top 1.5 lakh students who will appear in finals -- JEE (Advanced-2013) ­ on June 2.Figures suggest that a total of 13.75 lakh students appeared in the JEE (Main) exam held in April 7 in the country. Out of it, nearly 45,000 appeared from Kota and constituted about 16% success ratio against 3.2% participation in the exam. It roughly means that 55% student in Kota was selected for the second and final round.
P K Bansal, CEO of the BansalClasses said that 3,419 students of Bansal Classes cleared the exam.
