Pull the Socks Up As Schedule For JEE Advanced Test Is Now Officially Released

For the entrance to IIT’s and other colleges in 2014, the official date for JEE (Advanced) 2014 has officially been released by the Joint Admission Board of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT). The dates decided for JEE Advanced is 25 May 2014.
As per the earlier decision of board no computer-based JEE-Advanced 2014 will held. The JEE (Advanced) test will be given using the form of paper-pencil based test. The 2014 test shall comprise 2 question papers - 9 am to 12 noon for the first one while second will held from 2 pm to 5 pm. The questions asked will be in the form of objective/ MCQ type. The paper will test candidate’s knowledge through checking their comprehension, reasoning ability along with analytical ability.

The JEE paper is composed and conducted by the 7 zonal IITs under the directives of its Joint Admission Board. This is to give admission to the eligible candidates in UG programmes in all of the IITs across the India and ISM Dhanbad.
Based on the scores in Paper - 1 of JEE (main), only the top 1, 50,000 aspirants from all categories are qualified to appear in JEE (Advanced) of 2014.
However, JEE (Main) 2014 is not conducted by IIT but by CBSE. This year CBSE is to conduct JEE (main) on behalf of the JEE apex board, dated on April 6.
The first paper of JEE Main will be undertaken both in offline as well as online mode. On the other hand, second paper will only be a pen and paper based test. There are seven zonal IITs covering IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee.
From November 15 the sending of online application will commence. December 16 will be the last date. JEE Main’s result will be put up on May 3.
To download the admit card of those who qualified for JEE Adance Candidates can do so from the official website- www.jeeadv.iitd.ac.in from May 10 till May 24.
19 June 2014 is set as the result declaration date for JEE Advanced.

In Uttar Pradesh the entrance test of JEE Advanced will take place in only Agra, Allahabad, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Lucknow and Varanasi cities.

Other than JEE Advanced, JEE Main is also a doorway for admissions to NITs, and many other central government funded technical education institutions. To enter in JEE Advanced test, qualifying in top 1, 50,000 ranks in JEE Mains is also mandatory.
