JEE-Main 2014 answer key now on Monday

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) was supposed to release the answer key for the Joint Entrance Exam (Main) on Friday, but now it will be released only on Monday.

The board made students' optical mark recognition (OMR) sheets of the pen-and-paper test available to them on Friday. Students can challenge the recorded responses if these differ from the ones marked by them.

The challenge of scanned images will be accepted by the board only till 2pm on Monday, after which the answer key would be made available for a day. The answer key will be up till 5 pm on Tuesday.

Students are awaiting the release of the answer key from the board as it would help verify the existence of errors said to have been found in the question paper in the pen-and-paper exam. The candidates can also challenge the answer key by 5 pm on April 29. A fee of Rs 1,000 will be charged per question. If the challenge is accepted by the board, the money will be refunded.

Students who have still not submitted the roll numbers of their Class XII exam can do so on the JEE (Main) website. Students can also make corrections in category and state of eligibility till Monday.
