Benny Dayal rocked at IIT Saarang

There are singers. and then there are performers. Benny Dayal clearly belongs to the latter class. He rocked Sunday evening at Saarang, bestowed by IIT Madras, with raw energy in his chartbuster numbers, providing the zealousaudience with some goosebump-inducing moments.

While his rendition of standard Bollywood songs clicked with most of the audience, the innovative twists he gave songs like Dil Se, Omana penne and even the evergereen Chinna Chinna Aasai... had the music aficionados hooked.once the singer asked the crowd to bring out their cellphones and lightweight up the venue — a practice at IIT — the audience joyfully responded. What followed was a grand spectacle within which, because the singercompetently place it, the 'stars visited earth for a moment.' This was followed by a vigorous performance bystandard Bollywood music pair salim and Sulaiman, who belted out their hit numbers, therefore keeping the gang on their feet.

The final day of Saarang, delivered to you by the days Of India, had everything one may arouse — standardnumbers and not-so-often detected ones. Certainly, an ideal finale for a grand event.
