Date to fill JEE-Main exam form online extended

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), which is conducting the Joint Entrance Exam JEE-Main in 2014, has extended the last date of filling the online forms. Earlier, the last date was December 26 but it has been extended to January 5. The students willing to take admission in IITs, IIITs and National Institute of Technology (NITs), will have to appear in JEE Main (the offline examination) which will be held on April 6 next year. The online examination will be held on April 9, 11, 12 and 19. The examination for BTech and BE will be held in first shift and paper two of BArch and BPlanning will be held in the second shift.
The CBSE has extended the date of filling online form by 10 days. The passouts of class XII in academic session 2012-13 and those to appear in the board exams will be benefited with the extension of the date.
The aspirants can fill the online form by logging www.jeemain.nic.in.
These days the students are filling up the JEE Main forms. A total of 1.5 lakh students of JEE-Main, will get a chance to appear in JEE Advanced scheduled to be held on May 25 in two shifts from 9 am to 12 noon and from 2 pm to 5 pm. Those clearing JEE Advanced will get the chance to appear in counselling to select the desired Indian Institute of Technology ( IIT) and the course which they want to pursue. But for this, their marks in board examinations would also be added to their JEE Advanced score. There are around 10,000 seats in the IITs and some 14,000 to 15,000 students would be cleared for admission in the IITs.
The 15 IITs in which the students will be able to take admission include IIT-Bhubneshwar, Bombay, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Mandi, Patna, Roorkee, Ropar, Varanasi and ISM Dhanbad.
The students who will clear the JEE Main but not qualify the JEE Advanced, will get the chance to enrol themselves in the NITs and IIITs.

The Most Brilliant Students of Kota Ever

Anuj Nagpal(AIR 190):  This guy was the most intelligent person I ever met. In hostel, he was one of the most fun loving guys, he only used to do the assignments of mathematics (only because it was taught to us by the director of the coaching). Though I was not in his hostel but my closest friends were in his hostel and used to tell me all the stuff they did at night. Late night chats, discussion about random things (which had no relation with JEE at all). Shubham Tulsiani says This is quite a common practice among institutes so I would like to address the trends too apart from the personal experiences and I'll also write on one aspect the question didn't explicitly ask  - offers  before  JEE Pre-JEE (class 12th) I had a couple of 'offers' - Some people from Akash Institute came over to my place to 'gift' me books to help me prepare for JEE. All I had to do was - guess what - yes, sign a form ! I was amazed at how insistent they were and despite me saying I didnt need the books and wouldn't sign,  they made me keep the books. They then visited / called me about 5 more times to get my signature (until I finally returned the unused books on their last visit and told my hostel guard to not allow them back).
